The Good:

-You have many customization options for your car
-Good gameplay with steady controls
-Good looking cars from real life

The bad:

-Bad acting in the short movies
-The same unreal crash animation
-Repetitive music
-Doesn’t bring any great innovations in the game
-Repetitive tracks

Racing fan? Good then you should read this.
EA released another Need For Speed version, very fast after Most Wanted but not something extraordinary, it’s just good.
Carbon continues from where Most Wanted left the game. The story begins with Cross a bounty hunter that totals your car out of a sudden. Your bounty is paid by Darius, a friend of yours but off course then you must make some money and you are sent in Palmont City on someone else’s territory.

In the beginning of the game and along the career small movies appear in which actors try to act as good as they can but is a little disappointing because they kind of suck.  I have all the respect for them but the roles probably didn’t fit them.

Now let’s see the game. Race for cash, upgrade your car, win some more cash upgrade some more components which is kind of boring if you think that you where doing exactly the same thing in Most Wanted and Underground with small differences. While upgrading your car you must win the entire town, sector by sector. Why are you doing this? Well your brother died (sounds like a soap opera) and you have to find out who killed him and the only way to do that is to race with all the bosses in the town (wow, great plot no?). The cars are copies from the real-world and they pack enough power to enjoy the ride, that off course if you upgrade them heavily.

While the game is better then Need For Speed Most Wanted it has some flaws. A problem that the last 3 NFS series had where the tracks, which become repetitive at a certain point and Carbon is not different regarding this issue. Tracks are lifeless and don’t give you the 'in-game’ experience while the multiplayer is stripped from it’s features and you can’t really play if you don’t have some close friends to play with.

We could say it’s a good game, but nothing special and with lots of unchanged ideas from the previous series, only new graphics and some new feature implemented in the gameplay.

The bottom line is to play the game if you are a racing fan, or if you are curious.

We give it a 7.8
